Things to think about before you layout a blueprint for your website. One of the most important considerations right off the bat is,  your willingness  to put some elbow grease into the project? You can stop right here if the answer is no.  Build it and they will come does not apply to websites.

A website that doesn’t offer interaction, information, a product or service is no different than a print add.  You will find that you have  spent a lot of money to end up in the trash can.  How many magazines have you purchased lately? Have you picked up a free one and taken it with you because you saw something interesting and planned to contact the company that caught your eye?  How many print subscriptions do you purchase on a yearly basis? Now think about the publications you used to purchase and tell me how many of them are online for you to read any time you want with new articles on a daily basis.

Retailers are no different, now they have to compete with everyone. Informed shopping is the norm these days, gone are the of dropping into the closest store in hopes they have what you want and settling for what ever they have because it is your only choice.  The internet has changed how we do business, and there is no going back. The consumer is king and we expect to be treated as such, if we’re not we will just go somewhere else.

If you want to play the game you have to be willing to work at it. So if the answer is yes here are some things to think about.

  • What do you want to accomplish?
  • Who is your target market?
  • Can you give your visitor something for nothing?
  • Will it be an information or sales site?
  • Are you willing to interact with your customer?
  • Do you have an existing client list?
  • How do you plan to market your site?
  • What is your budget, don’t stress out about this one you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg.
  • How much time do you have to devote to the promotion of your site.

All daunting projects start with one step, ask questions, read articles on current market trends, find a niche market that you can fill a need. Whether you are expanding an existing business or starting a new one there is tons of information out there do your homework but know that if it sounds to good to be true it is.

Professional Photographers Streamline Your Event Production Model At Online-Pics

Online-Pics has developed a system to allow on site display and sales of video. This system eliminates all the DVD’s and Tapes from the process. Simple Process….. Record you video to a PC using any video capture software. The capture will be in Mpeg 2 Format. Once you have completed a capture, the system creates a FLV file from the original input. This is then sent to the Event server where customers can view and order the video. NO ORDER FORMS… NO BIG BOOKS OF DVD… Curious? Get MORE information.
